  • Workflow for Rendering to MPEG2 for Blu Ray – AC3?

Is it true that MPEG-2 is the best format to render HD video from Sony Vegas 8 for Blu Ray playback? I used to render to AVI, but the files are massive. Also, do I need to render the audio separately, and is AC3 the best choice for this? DVD Architect 5 seems to find the audio file when it is in the same folder as the MPEG-2 file and has the same name. Is this the best workflow? Thanks for your help.

I believe Vegas 8 has render templates for Blue Ray disks. It may be an .m2t file with a seperate .ac3 file for audio. Danny

Thanks Danny. Please can somebody confirm that MPEG-2 and AC3 rendered separately as video and audio is the best way to do things? Thanks.
