Workflow for Film Project.
Howdy Friends,
I will be offlining on my MC 7.24 ABVB system which will then go to a Symphony for onlining.
The online folks basically gave me 29.97 DVCam tapes downconverted from 23.98 masters and asked me to pull a 3-2.
Not sure how to do that as i’ve never done so before. Is this in the Digitize settings? Can’t find it.
Please let me know what I’m missing, I don’t want to make things hard for the onliners.

they want the project delivered to them @ 23.98fps.
is the ABVB system able to do that?

ABVB systems do not have native 23.976 project types. ABVB can do 24p project types. The Symphony can do 23.976 and 24.
The Symphony can also take your 24p timeline and create a 23.97 timeline via the modify command. This assumes a recapture of both picture and sound.
If you work at 24p and do sound at that rate, the audio post team will need to pulldown the sound and sample rate convert to 48kHz in order to be used in the 23.976 project and be in sync.
