  • Workflow: FilmCut to edl to filmrecorder

Hi, i have the following workflow (simplified for understanding)
    Film (35mm) scanned into Folders:
    Reel 08 > Take 050 > 3k > scan.0001.cin
Afterwards we postproed it *deflicker, retime, resize* to a regular 2k so the name at the end is
    Reel 08 > Take 050 > 2k > scan.0001.cin
I recut it with MediaComposer so that every rendered frame matches the original MasterCut.
For example, I used frame [0005-0010] in one cut, while the whole sequence has frames [0001-0050]… etc.

Now I want to give the filmrecorder the external harddrive with all the final pictures in its different reel and shot folders. This material was used for the finalcut and therefore this information should be somewhere inside avid, shouldnt it?

The recorder can read the EDL and its referring sources.
How can i create the EDL so the recording guy has a nice day? Perfect would be to just rename the Harddrive letter, and everythings in the right order.

I dont want him to recut it again… any tips or tricks?
Actually there is a grading step at the same recording house before. They are grading with speedgrade from iridas and they said they can import the avid EDL, too. So, should be the same procedure. Afterwards they are piping the files directly to their recording station.
