Just thought I’d post this here if it’s a help to anyone…

I’ve been having trouble with my Boris RED & BCC3 plugins since I upgraded from 5.0 to 5.1.2. My RED filters work (with the patch), but my RED transitions and all of my BCC3 plugins do not.

However, I think I realized I can still access my BCC3 plugins from within the RED engine. So, instead of applying a BCC3 filter, I apply a regular Boris filter, open the filter to modify it (which opens the RED engine), and from there, apply whichever BCC3 filter I need. The only problem with this workflow is that you can’t see multiple layers on the timeline since the engine only opens that one clip with the filter on it – so it’s not prime for compositing, but it’s better than nothing!
