Work-on file and render-file settings, what formats to use?
Hello folks, I am currently working on a very heavy project and editing ain’t easy handling all those fullHD files.
So I thought of creating low-quality editing files identical to the hd ones which I could use to structure the project and basically do all the work and in the end substitute them with the fullHD originals for rendering only. So now here is my question:To create the low-quality files i need to find a format which is very fast to render and edit with,however the bitrate mustn’t be too high, I will put them on my storage hdd (5200rpm). any suggestions?

Another problem: my cpu never exceeds 30% load when rendering…
