Work in Mac OS, render to PC

December 14, 2022 at 11:42 pmSo im trying to figure out the best workflow (if any) to work in the Mac os and render to a PC. (c4d and redshift as well but thats a different convo)
Current set up is a Macpro7,1 with a couple apple cinema displays + tv
Is there a way to add to render queue or ME from Mac to render direct to PC. Preferably to a QT and not an img seq. I dont think theres a reasonable way to KMS switch the pc into a TB3 monitor so I can HDMI the pc top the tv as a quick and dirty monitor setup. It would be nice if I didnt have to monitor the pc. I know in theory how it can work, I guess am I missing anything optimization wise. I guess the next best thing is a shared drive that I work on Mac. Close project and reopen on pc?
<font face=”inherit”>Seem like </font>there<font face=”inherit”> a better way…. </font>

December 18, 2022 at 10:38 amI’d set up a watch folder on the PC’s Media Encoder – any sequences, videos or comps (AFAIK) will be picked up and rendered. At my old job, we had a spare PC sitting there allowing teachers to convert any video they uploaded (and yet most still came to our office to do it).
