Work Flow using still photos as video
We shot 9000 photos using the Canon 1D Mach II (8.2MP RAW files) We are gonna edit a short film using Photoshop CS2, After Effects 7 Pro, and Avid Xpress DV for mac and/or Premiere Pro 2
Out of the photos we got, there will be different effects and styles. For part of it we will be doing a “Kid Stays in the Picture” thing. We will ending up with a 24P 1920×1080 HD project, which we will lay back onto HDCAM or D5.
The question is pixel aspect ratio, if we resize all the shots to approx 720×380, and edit inside a DV project, can we then “conform” back to the 24P HD settings? All the photos use square pixels. All DV projects use retangular pixels.
Has anyone used CS2 for batching RAW to JPG? Ideally I would just edit natively on a 24P HD timeline (with square pixels) but Xpress DV for mac, doesn’t have the option. Should I work inside a Premiere Pro 2 timeline using the 1920x1080P HD settings?
So,…. workflow? anyone a CS2/AVID/AE giru?
