  Work flow from DVcam

  I have been producing/editing broadcast a local TV, shot on DVcam, capture through Firewire, edited on FCP, outputted to DVcam, and then Closed Captioned onto digibeta for air. Tech specs, QC and deliverables have been quite simple, however, the show is going to a national cable outlet and as expected deliverables have changed. I’m pretty sure I cannot get 4 channel of audio out via FW, hence its time to upgrade. I need to take existing packages made in DV timelines, captured via FW, and get them onto digibeta with as little fuss as possible. I need to continue to capture new elements in DV (due to drive space) but finish to Digibeata.

  I already own the AJAIO and run FCP5, (but honestly have never used it, since I havent been required to, hence now my dilema) and will purchase a digibeta for out put via SDI. However, how do I deal with getting a DV timeline in FCP down the SDI pipe and onto 4 channel of audio ?
