Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy wmv into FCP?

  • Posted by J. Tad newberry on September 3, 2008 at 11:18 pm

Is Flip4Mac the most economical way to convert these puppies? I have MPEG Streamclip, which will not even touch the wmv, and i downloaded the trial version of Flip4Mac which converted like a charm, albeit with the watermark. Seems like I already bought this utility, but it ain’t on me hard drive. I wonder if FCP will be able to import wmv’s (and a few of the other problem children) in a near future update?

    thanks again!

Flip4Mac is currently the ONLY way to convert WMV to QTs. And I highly doubt that Apple would make that a built in option on any future release. Not that anyone has any clue what Apple will offer in future releases.

compressor can convert a wmv if you have flip4mac components installed. Just did two yesterday.
