I’m trying to compress a short corporate video into a wmv using Flip4Mac. I have a copy of Flip4Mac Studio Pro HD, but haven’t ever compressed in the format before.
The problem is that no matter what settings I choose for the export, the footage comes out with blocky, green tinted artifacting.
Any guesses what might be causing the green? Also, can anyone suggest a basic compression formula for wmv on the web?

System: FCP 5.12, MacPro 2.66, 4gig ram, Flip4Mac Studio Pro HD.
    Project: 6min, 29.97 fps, SD 4:3.

    Thanks!

Go with CBR one pass. Set the bitrate to around 600-900 kbts. Set your frame size (I like 480 x 360). In the advanced tab make sure you have the input set to interlaced.

Audio I like around 80 kbts.

VBR will give you those green ghosties.
