    Hi All,

I put in a Windows 7, i7-chipped machine, 6Gb RAM at the beginning of the year. The problem is I can’t get the x64 version to render CBR files whatever I do. It will do flawless VBR, but not CBR – otherwise it runs fine.

All my other (x32, XP) machines do this perfectly running a variety of hardware set-ups, so I don’t think it’s me being an idiot!

On the x64 i7 machine, the CBR renders run very fast, output to a file which is suspiciously small – which then won’t play.

Anyone else come across this? I’m wondering if I just have a corrupt codec in there – if so how do I remove/re-install it?

    Thanks,

    John Matchett

All of the render templates for WMV in Vegas both 32-bit and 64-but use CBR by default which means everyone using Vegas Pro 64-bit for rendering WMV is using CBR just fine. I just tested it and had no problems so there is definitely something wrong with your setup.
