    No. You should only be using uncompressed aif or wav files in fcp. (that means no AAC, MP3, either) You will need to convert outside of fcp.

    I haven’t tried it but, up to some people in the forum, you can cut WMV files in FC when you have Flip4mac installed.

    Maybe that’s the difference here. My buddy’s system has a lot more software on it than mine. Perhaps he’s got this Flip4Mac, too.
