Wish I hadn’t purchased that copy of Final Cut Studio 3! Can I sell it?
I’m a rather recent mac owner that picked up a copy of Final Cut Studio 3 around eight months ago. I thought I would take some time to start learning the programs, get the upgrade when it came out, and be all set to go. In the meantime I needed After Effects and Photoshop so I ended up getting CS5 Production Premium. Now that FCPX is out (and the FCP Studio is dead) it doesn’t look like it is worth learning a set of programs that are not going to be updated. I’m in the process of transferring to a new MacBookPro and decided not to install FCP Studio. Looks like the best option is to sell it. The new FCPX looks like it will work for me (small independent projects) and I always have Premiere to fall back on. I’m about to format the old mac drive so I can sell it, but I’m wondering if FCP Studio needs to be deactivated? Is there anything I need to do before I can sell it?
Thanks,
JT
