  • Wiring a standard XLR to a Sanken COS-11sPT

I have a Sanken COS-11sPT which is the pigtail version of their great lavalier.

I want to put an XLR on this so I can plug it right into my Mackie Onyx 24-4 board.

I’ve looked on Sanken’s web site but they show every possible wireless connector schematic made but not just wiring to a standard 3 pin XLR.

There are two tiny plastic coated black and white wires the same diameter and then a larger wire with spaghetti on it that I assume is the ground.

Do you know how this mic should be wired to an XLR to work on my Mackie?

I would appreciate any help. I’m a good solderer but I need to know which pins get which of these Sanken wires. I couldn’t tell from the wireless mic schematics which show jumpers and all sorts of different arrangements.

I just couldn’t derive any sort of standard from the info there.

    Thanks,

    Steve
