Wireless: different brand transmitter and receiver?
Hi,
On my minimalist DSLR rig I have a Samson Airline Micro receiver because of its tiny size and low weight. I want to use it with a plug-in transmitter for handheld mics but Samson doesn’t make any.
Is it possible to use other brands if they have matching frequencies?
What other options do I have?Thanks!

Basically your chances are less than 50/50 of it working effectively. You would be better served by buying a new wireless system. Look at the Sennheiser G3 wireless systems.
