WinXP/Bootcamp on MacPro
I was wondering if anyone has tried running the BMD cards on a MacPro but using Bootcamp/WinXP. It would be quite interesting if this setup would work because you can do a dual boot MacOS/Final Cut Combo for some projects, then reboot in WinXP/PrePro Combo for some projects.

Hi Adrian,
We know that some customers are doing this but since Bootcamp is in Beta, it is not an officially supported format. Once Bootcamp comes out of beta, we’ll be happy to investigate this. Who knows, maybe one of the supported configuration Windows machine will be a Mac Pro. 🙂

Any real life users/testers care to share some experiences? This would be great, being able to harness the diff advantages of PrePro and FCP on one machine. 🙂

I’m use this setup and I’ve to update and restart everytime I switch.
I normally work in windows but I’ve to restart to get to the mac os, update firmware then restart again in mac os to get it working.
Then again when I switch back to windows, its update firmware, then restart windows, only then will I get windows with a working blackmagic card.
It’s a bit awkward.I use XSI software which is windows only and final cut pro which is mac only.
