I’m trying to help somebody out with a problem…he’s installed the Vegas + DVD software on his PC, which is an HP, model # M7360N running Windows Media Center…… Vegas opens fine, and will control the Sony HDV HC1 camcorder, but as soon as the capture is activated, everthing freeze’s up and there’s nothing you can do but to “end program”…….

Any ideas would be most appreciated…..

    Thanks,
    Darrin

Windows Media Center can caused conflicts when capturing DV. Check to see that the firewire connection is not disabled in the Device Manager. You may have to disable all other media connection devices their to prevent conflicts with the firewire card.
