This has happened several times using MC6 on a Mac running 10.6.8 and now 10.7.2 I’m using two monitors and my timeline, and both screens disappear. I found that when I hit mission control, they are still open but off both monitors and I can’t seem to get them back on the right monitor.

Also, MC6 crashed twice in one day, when in Final Cut Pro 7 I don’t think I had a crash in over a year. Any comments?

    thanks

    Don

Avid MC 6 isn’t supported under OS 10.6.8. And if you just installed 10.7 on top of the existing OS and MC6 install, that won’t fix anything. What you need to do is start fresh. Format your drive, install Lion, update fully, then install Avid MC6…actually, get the update to 6.0.1, it just came out. Fixes many bug issues.

That’s how you make a stable system.

I think the problem may be that your screens are not the same size and resolution. I have had the same issue with mismatched monitors.
    Pisses me off, its 2012!

No the monitors are a matched pair @1280 x 1024.
I downloaded the 6.01 version and that seems to clear it up, maybe.
I noticed that people had this problem as early as 2005 as evidenced by prior forums.
