Windows 7 security updates?
Quick question about a Windows 7 Resolve system.
I have read that Resolve is certified and tested for Windows 7 SP1. I belive I read not to install any new Service Packs (when they are released) to the system unless Blackmagic approves them.
What about security updates. For now I have the system not installing security updates. I would feel better if I could install any new security upates. Does Blackmagic (or any other users) test Resolve with any of the security updates?
Also what about letting Windows Defender or Microsoft Security Essentials run for system security? I know you can tell it to not scan ceratain folders or applications.
Would that cause problems?

Just wanted to see if anybody could shed any light.
On a Windows 7 system can I run any of the Windows security updates? And can I run the Microsoft Security Essentials? Hate to leave my system totally unprotected if at all possible.
Anybody at BMD or elsewhere install any security patches?
