Anyone out there using the wind filter feature that is built into the Canon 60D? I’ve had my 60D since March of last year and I record most audio with a H4N Zoom, but I”m going to be doing a lot of run and gun sports work with the 60D and I need to get the wind filter feature unlocked? I’ve checked every setting I can think of and the wind filter on my camera is greyed out. Even if I put audio in manual the wind filter won’t come out of grey and allow me to turn it on. I even have my menus unlocked in the main menu setting. An ideas on how to get this feature unlocked, un-grey?

    Ted,

Do you have a microphone plugged in? The wind filter is only accessible when using the internal. Because of that I would get a small Rode or Sennheiser with a quality windscreen (not foam).
