    I have created a solid layer and added fractal noise to it to give a wind effect. I now need this wind to be sucked into and object. For an example of what i’m trying to achieve look at 4:52 of this video. Click here for video

    i’m not in front of ae at the moment, you might give cc flow motion a try… it will create a sucking-into-a-pont-like distortion. a

    also, bulge with negative values will start to do a similar effect and mesh warp could be manipulated to create that too.
