– Recording the Super 35mm Sensor on interchangable SSD as 422 50Mb/s (how many new external recorder are going to flood the market till we see Sony make one? (Aja Pro/Mini, Ninja, Gemini, Cinedeck……)
– A real viewfinder, as one would expect from a < $15K camera, (We need to see what we shoot without fruit hanging all over a rig, especially on ENG gigs)
– Better ergonomics than a VX1000, Z1, EX1
– Good zooms so all us ENG/EFP guys can use the creative options of depth of field.
Please, let’s get things right and set the path for motion capture. The workflow of XDCAM is there! The technology is there, the buyers are there, I know guys with F900’s & 800’s looking at these cams seriously, 20+ years DP are buying Canon 5D’s, Old product lines are old technology, that’s the way it works, produce for progession.
