Will there be a BCC 8 installer update for Vegas 13?

Unfortunately, BCC 8 will not be supported for Vegas 13, and BCC OFX 9 would be the version you’d want. However, if you keep an earlier version of Vegas installed (you can have more than one version of Vegas installed on the same system), you can keep using BCC 8 inside the earlier version.

Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks. BCC 9 looks intriguing. Am I right to assume the new FX Browser will be a part of the Vegas version?

Yes, this feature will be present inside Sony Vegas 13. In addition, all new filters to BCC 9 should appear; none of the new filters are Host specific.

Not what I wanted to hear either. Seems like we are being strong armed to buy BCC9 if we want to upgrade to Vegas 13. Is there a lower upgrade price for BCC9 from 8?

Actually, BCC8 was updated to install in Vegas 13. Of course, that was after they got my order for BCC 9 on the NAB offer that has since expired.

Nonetheless, BCC 9/OFX looks pretty sweet if it functions like the demos they’ve had up for some of the other NLE’s. It’ll be worth the upgrade if it delivers.

THIS is true (BCC 8 support for Vegas Pro 13). I was surprised to read this thread. Perhaps you need to update Vegas Pro 13. Mine has BCC 8 and it has no issues….

Hmmm? Well upgrading to 8 from 7 is 300$, sooooo what would the upgrade price be for 8 to 9? Maybe lower than 7 to 9? Or maybe BorisFX really wants us pay the full price for 9 either way? I can’t find any upgrade path from my version to 9.

But, I can’t believe BCC8 wouldn’t work for Vegas Pro 13, if BCC7 does.
