Will Motion 2 run with G4 Laptop?
Hi,
I’ve read with interest the debate in previous posts about the best system configuarations for use with Motion 2, however I’m unsure of a few things..
It seems the video card is one of the most important elements, is the one that comes as standard with a PowerBook G4 867MHz 512mb (my current machine) up to scratch – has anyone tried?
Someone told me it’s impossible to expand on the vcard shipped with laptops – is this true? If so what else could I do to beef up my system, If Motion’s not an option things need to start moving faster in AE!

My recent G4 PB does, I think all models with the GeForce5200Go will. It’s OK for some simple things on the road, but not really impressive.
Even the new iBooks should do.

Runs on my 2003 17″ AL powerbook (that’s going on 2 years old). Not very quickly, but it runs. 1 GB RAM, 1.33 G4, Radeon 9600 Pro w/ 64MB VRAM.
