    Hi everyone
I have a version of FCP 6.4 with nattress plugins and a few others which I actually really like and am using in a project. But I was wanting to update to 7, if I update to 7 will I lose the work and plugins on my timeline. Or will the fx still be there once I re open the project in 7? Any one?

First, if you update over the top of FCS2 you may end up with a system that has loads of issues. There isn’t one Cow leader who would advise you to do anything but a fresh install.

However, if you insist, you won’t lose your work (which should be backed-up elsewhere anyway), but you will absolutely lose your plugins.

You won’t lose the Nattress filters on your timeline as they are written in FxScript and actually get stored ‘within’ the FCP project.

However, a fresh instal is always a good idea and using the latest intsallers from plugin vendors assures compatibility.
