Will Apple step up to the plate?

You already posted it. It says no Blu Ray hardware or software until Apple can afford to effectively pass the licensing fees onto you or me. This is not going to happen this year or next year. Furthermore, you can bet Apple is not going to design a BD authoring tool from scratch. Way too much money there to be worth it. They’ll need to purchase something from someone else…of which there are few available.

Nope…no BD from Apple! No way…no how…nope! Which is fine for me. I already have my tools and workflows and wouldn’t use an Apple tool even if it were available anyway.

All My own opinion though. Also this Apple BD discussion has been going on for almost 2 years now….

Sure it could happen someday – but I doubt it.
