  • Wiggling numbers to a scale

    Hey all, so I’m trying to “wiggle” some numbers so that they are randomly changing. The problem I’m having is that my scale (how I want it to appear on screen) is from 00-40 but using the default wiggle and character offset animations, the numbers go above 40 – up to 99. Is there any way I can set the scale that After Effects is using so that it will not go above 40? I’ve tried using the min/max and range settings but that doesn’t seem to correctly correspond with what I’m trying to do, but I could be using them wrong. Anybody got a solution for me? Sorry if its a bit confusing. Please ask if it isn’t clear what I’m doing. Thanks so much in advance!

    How are you adding wiggle now?

    I’m adding it into “animator 1” after I add the character offset animation. I have a feeling I’m doing something really wrong. 🙂

    Try this Expression in the Scale (Transform) property –

    ————–
    Scalar = random(0,40);
    [Scalar,Scalar]
