Wiggle on right side of image after export in Prores 4444
I am exporting a short film at 22 mins length and I am trying to render out a master file with subtitles and credits in Prores 4444. Each time I have rendered it out there is a slight wiggle on the right side of the image. I have tried playing the file in QuickTime, VLC and in a premiere timeline the wiggle is there.
The original files given to me from the colorist are DNxHR HQX 10-bit (4096 x 1716) and that is what is in the timeline. I also tried an export matching the sequence settings and still came out with the wiggle in the same place.
The only thing I was finding online is that the computer I’m exporting on doesn’t have enough RAM to fully process the render and ends up putting out the wiggle in the image.
Here are the laptop specs:
MacBook Pro
2.8 GHz intel core i7
16 GB ramIs this what the issue is or could it be something else?
It’s hard tell in a picture but I will upload a video example of the export.

I reached out to an editor buddy and he had the answer right away such a legend. I’ll post it here if anyone else has the same issue.
Go to — File>Project Setting>General – and change the renderer to “Mercury Playback Engine Software Only”
Rendered out a clean master file in Prores 4444 with no wiggle

What you describe is not normal, but seems to be an anomaly of the GPU. At times GPU acceleration versus CPU (“software only”) renders will yield slightly different results, especially with scaling. Sometimes the GPU render will be improved, when you enable all the “maximum quality” settings in the export dialogue window.
