Not in a Quad machine- the card should be in SLOT 3 or 4 depending on your storage requirements.

Have you set the PCI slot utility correctly?

Well as for an update, I’ve changed the card around, and the problem is still happening. i’ll be calling Aja as soon as i can see above the tide of work

Are you on 10.5.6? When you updated to 10.5.6, did you just do the normal software update?
