  Wierd problem using usb interface with VO tool

  I’m using an ART USB Pre Duo pre-amp/usb interface to record VO using the VO tool in FCP 6.0.6 At first all was good, having accidentally changed the rate away from 48kHz I now can’t select a rate higher than 16kHz.
  All rates are selectable with the internal mic. selected, it’s just the interface that has the problem. I’ve tried reconnecting, restarting fcp, trashing prefs. all no good. Once, since this happened I’ve managed to get the 48kHz setting but having decided to investigate and selecting a lower rate, I couldn’t get it back again. anyone know what’s going on?
