    Hi Cow Members,

Can anyone tell me the best way to do this. I have received a quicktime file that is 864 x 486 SQUARE pixels. It is intended for a widecreen display. I simply want to convert it to anamorphic for output to Digital Beta.

Can I just export a new file in Quicktime and set the size of the output to 720 x 486? (Do I need worry about square / non square issues?)
Or should I take it into After Effects and nest it into a 720 x 486 comp? If I do it that way, should the 720 x 486 composition be Square pixels or non-square?

    Thanks in adavnce.

i think i figured out the answer. can anyone confirm this?

i bring the 864 x 486 file into After Effects and put it in a D1 / DV NTSC Widescreen 720 x 486 Comp . Then I render it out from there.

    thanks, Frank
