[Anilio Sweet] “One last question, what is the diffrent between
Pal d1/dv widescreen and Pal d1/dv widescreen square pixel?”

The difference is the pixel aspect ratio [link] — which is a really important thing to understand when dealing with widescreen standard definition video.

Consider this: PAL screens are 4:3, but 720×576 reduces to 5:4. What causes this discrepancy? The pixels themselves aren’t square. The display aspect ratio is separate from the pixel aspect ratio.

Some applications (like AE) deal with non-square pixels pretty well. Others prefer to work with square pixels, so AE makes that available as a preset. Ultimately, square-pixel widescreen (1050×576) will be squeezed horizontally to fit within the 720×576 standard for video transmission.
