I am creating a slideshow in sony vegas movie studio platinum 8 with pictures. The project is setup for DVD widescreen, but after I render the video it does appear in widescreen format, but leaves sidebars on my 16:9 LCD TV. I obviously get bars above and below as well. It is almost like the video is setup only as wide as a 4:3 display. I would like the video to extend to the edges of my 16:9 tv.

What is the best way to render such a project? Can I set the project up for a 16:9 proportion so that when I pan and zoom on pictures the window is 16:9 format.

Sorry I have not explain this too well, I am somewhat new to the program. Thanks in advance for you help.

    Jeff,
Keep your setting as is…what you need to do is for
each photo…at the edge of them in the timeline…
you press the “event pan/crop button” then right click
in the pop-up window and select “match output aspect”.
