widescreen format
Posted by Tom Delacarey on April 26, 2008 at 2:11 pmI had been having some issues with integrating still’s with video to make thm the same rendered format. Now that they are, the widescreen finished rendered product is really weird. The image is really squashed and the black there is a black border on the sides of the video a well as the top and bottom both of which are extremely thick. Please help.

April 26, 2008 at 2:32 pmTom, make sure your Project Properties (File – Properties) are set to widescreen, then open Pan/Crop on a still.
Right-click and select “Match Output Aspect”.
See if that fixes it for you. -

April 26, 2008 at 6:59 pmit really helped the video widescreen format, but the stills are still squashed. I don’t get it. I fixed the stills in the pan crop. is there some way to do this manually?

April 26, 2008 at 10:12 pmHow would saving the stills wrong affect things?
Or was it a case of saving in portrait mode instead of landscape? -

Here is a link to a tutorial on how to use the pan/crop tool.
The first part tells you how to fill the screen with your still. Then it goes into how to zoom in and out of your stills using the pan/crop tool. You will have to register at the site before you can view but it is free. Bookmark this site as it has a ton of free tutorials covering Vegas. They also sell some of the best videos and books for Vegas that you will find anywhere.https://www.sundancemediagroup.com/tutorials/pan-crop.htm
Regards, Rick.
