Widescreen Display Problem
Hello,
I’ve been making a Short Film and the way I did it was edit scenes individually and render them to their own files in PAL Widescreen (I’m in Australia.) It was also filmed in 16:9 and i wanted to render in the Wide-screen setting because that’s how normal films are displayed on DVD.
Anyway I’ve noticed when I put all my scenes into Vegas to tie them all together, the footage is displayed in Widescreen but small enough to fit into the Safety lines. When I rendered the complete product, burnt it to DVD in DVD Architect and played it on DVD, the display did not seem right.
It plays in Wide-screen but smaller than a typical DVD, the black bars are not only on top and bottom but on the left and right sides. Is this normal? Is the problem in rendering footage that has already been rendered in wide-screen? I felt wide-screen should go all the way across and only have the black bars on top and bottom, as an official movie plays.
Any help would be appreciated.
