    Hello everyone,

I’m looking for an all purpose zoom lens that can stop down below 4. I mainly shoot video on a 60d so I want something that stays wide enough with the sensors crop factor, has a nice zoom and can stop down.

i was looking at the canon and sigma 24-70 f2.8’s as well as the tamron 28-75 2.8, i’m also open to suggestions of equivalent lenses.

thoughts? is the canon worth the extra $$?

    (i use a 30 f1.4, 17-40 f4, and 70-200 f4 so i’d like an all purpose zoom lens that can get a lower f than the 17-40)

I have the 24-70 2.8 L-Series. Yes it’s worth the extra cash. The canon L-Series lens has excellent color and image quality. You can see the difference. I haven’t used the other lenses you mentioned.
