wich lcd monitors?

hi.
i’m going to purchase a new monitor.
what do you think is better beetwen:

-Jvc VC DT-V24L1DU 24″ Multi-Format LCD Monitor with 1080p Native Resolution and HD-SDI;
-Sony LMD-2450W WUXGA 24″ LUMA Series High-Grade LCD Monitor;

both are good for pal, isn’t it?

Any suggestion?
P.S.excuse me for my english….i’m from italy.

I’m not sure how well the monitors will handle SD, but I’d go with the JVC. I’ve not heard great things about the Sony Luma monitors. On the other hand, the JVC monitor has been pretty highly regarded.

I too can recommend the JVC LCD. To my eye the quality of the image was superior to the Sony. I saw a bunch of HD LCDS in a monitor shootout, and next to the expensive TV Logics, the JVC is the best monitor to go with.

look at these TV Logic displays from Korea too. They are available in Europe. I’m not a fan of either JVC or Sony for LCD display.

I have tested the 24″ model and it absolutely is the best LCD monitor I have seen for the price.

I just picked up the JVC 24 inch last week. I’ve used it in the past and have been very happy with it. IMO its the best LCD in it’s price range, $3699 locally in LA. The blacks are great, much better then the Panasonic 17 and 26 I’ve used in the past, and the color looks great. I haven’t used it for SD yet and probably won’t, I have a SD CRT that I use for that.

JVC, Panasonic, and TV Logic are ALL better than the Sony LMD series.

I’m going to agree with Billy on the JVC as well. BUT, I have to say that the picture is great, but the build quality is not as nice as the Panasonic 26″. Nice gold connectors on the back, and lots of adjustments for the picture. But the housing looks and feels a little cheap to me.

Picture is very solid, and we have the Sony 14″ CRT for any SD work.

Almost double the cost of the JVC it seems but looks real nice.
