    Looking for advice as to why clips would look slightly sharper in the source monitor than in the program sequence monitor?
    (I have no effects across any particular video channel)

    Right click on the source monitor and see the quality setting…
    Right click on the program monitor and see the quality setting..
    If they are on something other than High that will give you a different sharpness. Lower or Auto settings compensate for no frames lost RT view back.
