  • Why won’t Sony Vegas 9 render my movie?

I’ve editted a 30 second clip and added about 7 colour effects to it. Decided to render it with Medium – High quality and the timer estimated 5 hours left and it kept climbing as my progress bar read – ‘0%’, was not moving at all. So I decided to lower my quality settings very very low and I get the same result; just staying at 0% while the timer is just climbing. I tried renderring another one of my clips WITHOUT using any special effects or fades, and the progress bar moved. And whenever I cancel the rendering process of my editted clip, Vegas crashes; and when I cancel the renderring process of my un-editted video, it does not. I have a decent processor; it’s a quad core Phenom II X4 960 3.3ghz with 4 GB 1066 DDR3 Ram and an HD 5670 1GB GDDR5, so I know it’s not my computer. Something’s wrong with Vegas. I have about 4-5 processes running in the background. Someone help me? It has to do with the editting, right?

I’m currently using Sony Vegas Pro 9.

What is the format you are trying to render to?
or probably something is wrong with one of the plugins,
reinstall them in case….is it Vegas 9.0e?
