It’s been a while since I’ve used After Effects, so forgive me if this should have been a basic question. I can’t get my composition movies to render with the alpha in place. I’ve tried setting the channels from the output module to RGB+Alpha, but that didn’t work. I’m still getting the background as a solid color when put into FCP.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Eric

are you using a format that supports alpha channels? like QT Animation or TGA?

check the alpha channel on the stage by pressing the “show alpha channel” button at the bottom of the comp window (in AE7 its under the button with the red/blue/green circles)
