September 27, 2017 at 6:49 pmI can’t show anymore of it. what else would you need to see? is there a certain part of the timeline that would be helpful to see? thanks!

September 27, 2017 at 8:51 pmWell most likely there is a group of clips clustered together at some point in your timeline that is causing this. Or a bug- that’s why it’s necessary to see the entire thing from start to end.

September 28, 2017 at 12:50 amHi Cybil- Shift-Command-4 take a screenshot directly- lot easier to tell what’s happening vs. photographing the screen.

September 28, 2017 at 1:24 pmUnfortunately, that’s still not the entire timeline. You’d have to ⇧Z the timeline first.
But, I’d say you simply have a lot of dialog channels somewhere along the line (outside of the segment we’re seeing) AND you have the audio LANES (FCP does not have tracks) activated. If you want to “sandwich” your channels to the least amount of vertical space, simply HIDE the lanes. Hit ⌘⇧2 or click the “Index” button and look for a button at the bottom of the window.
It’s in fact a (brilliant) feature, not a bug. ????

September 28, 2017 at 10:54 pmOkay. thank you for all the help – By seeing the whole timeline I realized that some audio components were expanded . I collapsed them and I’m set! ;-)))
