  Why is my Mac Pro w/CUDA struggling to multicam 3 streams of HDV footage?

  Hi Gang,

  Long time FCP-er, now trying to learn the ropes of Premiere Pro.
  I hope you don’t mind, but I may have lots of Q’s.

  I have a Mac Pro with the NVIDIA 4000 CUDA card [Mercury enabled] , 8BG of RAM.
  I’m trying to do a 3 camera multiclip of HDV footage on an HDV timeline – at 1/2 playback res
  and Premiere Pro is just not coping with it.

  Is my drive the problem? All footage coming off the same FW800 harddrive?
  Or is there another problem?
