Why does my Avid Change my Monitor Resolution When Importing Files
my avid was working fine for years until the other day. A strange thing is occuring on my Avid Media COmposer. Whenver i import a graphic file, the left computer monitor goes black and then comes back at a smaller resolution with the outline of a bin or two. i have to click on the screen to cause other bins to show back up but they only show up with outlines of the bins. My avid is useless at this point so i have to force quit it.
capturing and digitizing is fine. it is only when i import a graphic or clip.
i ran the avid diganostic supplied tool that checks everything out in the software and everything passed. Except for when it got to the Display controls, it seemed to flip out during that test but in the end it said it passed.any ideas what is wrong?
