[doyal gudgel] “I see nothing blurred. Is because I have not selected a mask?”

Did you add a blur? I assume what you are trying to do is blur an area by dupliacting a track, adding a blur and cookie cutter, and then using the cookie cutter to only show a portion of the frame as blurred. In your image, you have two cookie cutters but no blur. Try adding a Gaussian Blur with the Cookie Cutter after it using the Cookie Cutter preset “Circle, Center”.

Like my little friend here who is in the Koala witness protection program: 😉

Does the blurring show only in the preview window? Even though your blur is quite large how did you know it would be placed over the bear? I can see the coordinate settings but how do I know where in the picture they will show when I set them? The spots in my video I want to blur is much smaller than your example so setting them are much more critical. Thanks for your help.

I have created a window with a gaussian blur that appears in the fx window I made the blur large so I could find it if I find it when I find it. There are several frames in the window how do I put the blur in a particular frame?

You contol the size and position with the Cookie Cutter plugin. Try changing the size, feather, and position parameters.

Only duplicate the frames that you want to blur on the duplicate track.

It says to duplicate the track so I duplicated the track. Should I have isolated the frame I wanted to put the blur in? If so I will have to look into that

    Hope to see you

The easiest thing might be to just duplicate the event that you want to blur on an upper track. Trim that event to be only the frames you want to blur. Then add the Gaussian Blur and Cookie Cutter to this new event as in my example screen shot.
