I think I’m following the Adobe livedocs as closely as possible.

I’m trying to copy a clip from Premiere Pro CS3 into After Effects CS3.

I select the clip on the Premiere Pro timeline, then go to Edit>Copy.

I switch over to After Effects, and make sure the timeline of an open composition is selected. I then attempt to Edit>Paste…but wait, Edit>Paste is greyed out. I can’t select it.

    What am I doing wrong?

The main issue here (beyond the Paste feature not working) is timecode.

I have a trimmed clip on the timeline in Premiere that I want to bring into AE. Since After Effects can’t read the timecode, I need to copy and paste, or find some way to get AE to read the timecode of the clip. Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    Naveen
