  • Why can’t I EASILY add custom Keyboard Layout shortcuts?

Posted by Fabio Basone on December 19, 2014 at 2:17 pm

    Hi

    Please can anyone help.

I recently lost all my Adobe Premiere CC shortcuts after synchronising to the CC.

I’m trying to add my shortcuts back one by one.

I’ve created a Keyboard Layout Preset (called “Fabio”) but whenever I try to add a new shortcut command it reverts to the layout – “custom”. I then try to Save As “Fabio” and it again reverts back to “custom”, failing to save to my Preset “Fabio”.

After some trial and error it eventually saves but there seems to be no logic to it.

Furthermore, why can’t i add multiple shortcuts all in one go and then Save As “Fabio” instead of having to go through the laborious process for each and every shortcut.

    It’s driving me crazy

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Fabio

It may also have to do with when you “save” that is when it creates the file. When you change something, then it is actually “custom”, until you save it again.
