Why can’t I cut and paste 35 minutes from one project to another?
I edited a 35 minute sequence in one project, and now I want to cut and paste it into another. FCP X isn’t letting me do that, and I don’t know if the problem is simply that I can’t do that in the program or that I have some setting that isnt letting me. I’m able to cut and paste single clips between projects.
Any ideas? Can you not cut and paste something that large?

Well, I just tried again….and now it works! I wonder why it wasn’t working yesterday. I even closed and opened the program. Weird. I’d delete this thread if I could….but since I can’t….if anyone has any ideas why it might not have been working yesterday, I’d be curious!

Cut, or copy and paste in any application loads whatever you have copied temporarily into Ram. 35 mins is a big chunk and might have exceeded the amount of Ram available at that time.
