    Hello all,

I have a AJA LHE inside a MacPro with the latest OS and with 5.1.4 When we output via SDI we occasionally get white sparkles on output and this results in a failed QC. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove this and what this is?

Normally we just restart and it will go away, but it will come back with no rhyme or reason. Any feedback would be great.

Playback is 720p 30p downcovert via the Kona to a Letterbox Dbeta

    Thanks
    Matt

Do you see the white sparkles in the FCP output or are they just on the Digibeta? Are you monitoring the Kona output separately from the Digibeta recording? The reason I ask is that it’s possible the heads on the Dbeta are going bad.

    I see sparkles too.

I have a Kona3 in a Mac Pro… am still trying to get to the bottom of this as I’ve had 2 replacement cards and cables from AJA and the problems is still there.
