I wisch i could find som fractal nois preset… Or even better R.G. Form…preset or tutor…. -

August 25, 2011 at 8:34 pmI did that using FreeForm Pro, but you can use the regular Free Form that comes with AE as well. The trick is to have a nice animated texture of water splashing (I used Particle illusion to create that)with a feathered alpha. Then you need to match the angle of the perspective and add some fractal texture on a 3d layer with a mask for extra foam in the water.

You Advanced 2.5D Animation in AE tutor is very nice & challenging.

One other thing I did was to use Particular to create the foam around the tip of the warship in the clip below. I wish I had more time to play with it though.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H_tG5_DV5Q
