White burst transition
Posted by Lawrence Richards on October 2, 2011 at 9:39 pmHello!
I would very much like to have this kind of quick transition between clips. If someone has a moment and can give me a quick a How-To I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks!Thank you!

October 3, 2011 at 5:26 amYou could use FCPs effect “dip to color”, set the color to white and make the transition nice and quick. Not the best, but REALLY easy.

October 3, 2011 at 8:19 amIf you’re interested in using it frequently, I gather a lot of professionals who edit this style of programming use this: https://www.nattress.com/Products/filmeffects/G_Film_Flash.htm
I’ve used a few and its one of the only ‘authentic looking’, nicely timed versions of it (it actually looks like a white burst, rather than a simple colour dip).😀

October 3, 2011 at 9:32 amReading Thomas’ reply, I remembered that some of the effects I got with Coremelt Polychrome were free. Low and behold there is a free plug-in pack that has exposure flash.
